Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished products.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product specifications.
- Document inspection results, create quality reports, and maintain accurate records.
- Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials, initiating non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality issues.
- Support the calibration program for inspection and test equipment.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and company procedures.
- High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or assurance role.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical specifications, including GD&T.
- Basic understanding of quality principles, statistical process control (SPC), and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Proficiency with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for data analysis.
- Familiarity with CMM operation or programming.
- Internal auditing experience (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
