Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Train and mentor shipping and receiving team members, providing guidance and support.
- Manage inventory levels within the shipping and receiving area, conducting regular cycle counts.
- Coordinate with logistics providers and carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage and discrepancies, initiating return or claim processes as needed.
- Ensure all shipments are properly documented, labeled, and prepared for outgoing transport.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment in the shipping and receiving department.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise in shipping or receiving processes.
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and shipping software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to ensure efficient workflow.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations, documentation, and hazardous material handling (if applicable).
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and operating material handling equipment.
