Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished products for defects and adherence to specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Document inspection results, non-conformances, and observations accurately.
- Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials or products.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
- Perform First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspections according to established procedures.
- Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve quality issues.
- Previous experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications (including GD&T).
- Skilled in using a variety of precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
- Understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and inspection methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify and document product defects.
- Experience with CMM programming and operation
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT)
- Proficiency with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software
- Experience as an internal auditor for ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949
