Key Responsibilities
- Represent private equity sponsors and strategic clients in mergers and acquisitions transactions
- Draft, review, and negotiate acquisition and disposition agreements and related transaction documents
- Manage key aspects of deal execution from due diligence through closing
- Advise clients on transaction structure, risk allocation, and strategic considerations
- Collaborate closely with partners and cross-functional deal teams on complex matters
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- 4–6 years of M&A and private equity transactional experience within a law firm
- Strong experience representing financial sponsors and strategic buyers/sellers
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong academic credentials required
- Admission to the Illinois Bar required
