Seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Associate to join the US M&A team
Responsibilities:
- Build advanced financial models to value potential and actual clients and/or industries, leveraging broad understanding of valuation and broad finance/accounting topics
- Identify improvements to processes and propose solutions to complete tasks more efficiently
- Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders
- Supports deal teams in development, presentation, and winning mandates
- Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Researches and analyzes company and industry financial and operating information
- Provides direction and feedback to Analysts; accountable for development and mentoring of Analysts
- Works mostly independently, with more limited guidance from deal teams
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have 3 years of relevant experience/exposure to investment banking
- Education: An undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field, with an outstanding record of academic achievement. MBA degree preferred
- Knowledge of capital markets, investment banking products and applicable regulations
- Highly motivated, with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Demonstrates solid deal/transaction execution and/or project management skills
- Detail oriented with strong quantitative analytics, and financial modeling skills
- Deep, sophisticated understanding of accounting and finance
- Excellent mathematical, writing, verbal communication and computer skills
- Ability to manage expectations of senior bankers while working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective leadership, collaboration and coaching skills
- Sound judgement, problem solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Commitment to supporting and satisfying internal bankers and external customers
