What You’ll Own
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Define and drive the organization’s long-term strategy
- Establish priorities aligned with mission and impact
- Ensure alignment across programs, partnerships, and growth
- Serve as primary liaison to the Board of Directors
- Provide strategic updates, risk insights, and performance visibility
- Ensure governance, compliance, and accountability
- Lead fundraising strategy and revenue diversification
- Build relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners
- Ensure long-term financial sustainability
- Serve as the public face of the organization
- Build partnerships with
- Schools
- Community organizations
- Corporate sponsors
- Strengthen visibility and credibility
- Lead and align executive team (COO, CPO, CCO, etc.)
- Ensure all functions operate toward a shared strategy
- Establish accountability and performance expectations
- Identify opportunities to expand programs and reach
- Drive innovation across divisions
- Ensure measurable impact and continuous improvement
- Maintain oversight of organizational risks
- Ensure ethical leadership and compliance
- Protect the organization’s reputation and trust
This role is for someone who
- Thinks in enterprise strategy, not tasks
- Can lead through influence, not just authority
- Understands nonprofit growth and sustainability
- Can align multiple leaders and functions
- Is comfortable representing the organization publicly
Required
- 7 years of leadership experience (nonprofit or executive roles)
- Experience in
- Strategic planning
- Fundraising
- Stakeholder engagement
- Strong understanding of nonprofit governance and board relations
- Experience scaling organizations or startups
- Proven success in fundraising and partnerships
- Experience leading executive-level teams
- 15–20 hours per week
- Flexible schedule (including evenings/weekends as needed)
- Fully remote
