What You’ll Own
Security Monitoring & Threat Detection
- Monitor systems, networks, and platforms for security events
- Identify suspicious or anomalous activity
- Maintain awareness of system security status
- Analyze alerts for
- Severity
- Impact
- Validity (true vs false positives)
- Prioritize incidents based on risk
- Identify potential security incidents
- Perform initial response and containment actions
- Escalate issues to security leadership as needed
- Review system and application logs
- Identify indicators of compromise
- Investigate unusual patterns and behaviors
- Stay informed on emerging threats
- Apply threat intelligence to monitoring and analysis
- Identify risks based on known vulnerabilities
- Work closely with
- Cybersecurity Engineers
- Security leadership
- IT Operations
- Support coordinated incident response
- Document alerts, incidents, and actions taken
- Maintain accurate records of investigations
- Contribute to incident reporting
- Identify gaps in detection capabilities
- Improve alert tuning and reduce false positives
- Enhance monitoring effectiveness
- Follow security policies and procedures
- Support incident response protocols
- Maintain consistency in operations
- Stay updated on cybersecurity threats and tools
- Improve technical knowledge and skills
- Participate in training and knowledge sharing
This role is for someone who

Required
- 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT, or related roles
- Basic understanding of
- Security principles
- Threat detection
- Log analysis
- Experience with SIEM or security monitoring tools
- Familiarity with
- Incident response processes
- Network/system logs
- Security certifications (Security , CEH – preferred but not required)
- Experience working in remote teams
- 8–12 hours per week
- Flexible schedule (with responsiveness to alerts and monitoring needs)
- Fully remote
- Hands-on experience in security operations
- Exposure to real-world threat detection and response
