Position Overview
The Axel Group is seeking an Project Manager to support our clients specialized construction division. This role is for a specialized engineering and fabrication group delivering turnkey support system solutions for mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and equipment installations across commercial, healthcare, industrial, and data center markets.
This role is primarily remote and will oversee projects throughout Florida, coordinating engineering, fabrication, logistics, and customer communication from project award through completion. The ideal candidate brings strong construction project management experience, technical coordination ability, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously from kickoff through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with engineering, BIM/VDC teams, and fabrication shops to ensure accurate design and timely production.
- Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and project documentation for accuracy and constructability.
- Develop project schedules, track milestones, and proactively resolve risks or conflicts.
- Lead project meetings, progress updates, and status reporting to internal leadership and clients.
- Coordinate material procurement, fabrication timelines, and delivery logistics.
- Support change order management, cost tracking, and project financial performance.
- Conduct occasional site visits throughout Florida to support installation coordination, client meetings, and project milestones.
- Ensure projects meet safety standards, quality expectations, and contractual requirements.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably within MEP systems, structural supports, prefabrication, specialty contracting, or a related technical construction environment.

- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and coordination processes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

- Ability to travel regionally for project support as needed.
