The Axel Group is seeking an ENTRY LEVEL Architectural Designer to join our client’s team in Monmouth County, New Jersey. This multi-disciplinary firm offers comprehensive land development and design solutions for corporate, private, and government clients across residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional markets. The ideal candidate will assist the Project Manager and/or Registered Architect with the design and documentation of architectural projects. This individual will support all phases of design, from conceptual development through construction documentation, while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers and Registered Architects with the design and documentation of architectural projects.
- Support the preparation of drawings, models, and presentations across all project phases.
- Conduct site visits, field measurements, and attend project meetings as needed.
- Gather and interpret zoning regulations, building codes, and site data to inform design decisions.
- Assist in preparing design development and construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Coordinate with internal team members and external consultants, including civil, structural, and MEP engineers.
- Utilize design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite to produce high-quality deliverables.
- Assist in reviewing project documents for accuracy and compliance with standards and regulations.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- 0–5 years of professional experience in architecture or related field (internships considered).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field, required.
- Proficiency in Revit required; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Basic understanding of building systems, construction methods, and architectural detailing.
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
