Summary

Role Details

Analyst-III supports grid operations by drafting switching requests and developing switch plans for the NSP territory. The role coordinates with the control center and outage teams to ensure safe, compliant operations and timely approvals. This position offers a pathway to permanent employment and direct collaboration with grid and control center teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft switching requests for grid work
- Coordinate with control center on schedule and approvals
- Develop switch plans for NSP territory
- Ensure compliance with safety tags and clearances
- Send plans for review and obtain approvals
- Schedule approved plans into operations calendar
- Hand off plans to control center and address follow‑up questions
- Verify safe work practices during execution
- Collaborate with outage coordination and grid operations teams

Qualifications
- Distribution electrical system knowledge is a must
- Must have utility industry experience
- Field experience (lineman or troubleman preferred)
- Understanding of switching procedures, safety tags, clearances and grid operations
- Basic engineering or electrical theory knowledge
- Distribution background with mid-level technical exposure is preferred
