This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of electrical distribution operations by developing, coordinating, and scheduling switching procedures that keep the power grid running smoothly. Working at the intersection of planning and execution, this role requires close collaboration with control center personnel and field operations teams to create accurate switching plans that protect both personnel and equipment. The coordinator serves as a vital communication hub, translating operational needs into detailed procedures, facilitating approvals, and providing ongoing support during plan execution. This position offers the opportunity to leverage field experience in a coordination capacity while developing new skills in operations planning and system-wide coordination within a stable, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and write electrical switching procedures for distribution operations activities
• Coordinate switching plans with control center personnel and internal stakeholders
• Review and assess upcoming switching requirements ranging from half-day to multi-day timeframes
• Distribute draft switching plans for internal review and incorporate feedback to obtain necessary approvals
• Schedule approved switching procedures for execution
• Communicate finalized plans to the control center and ensure smooth handoff
• Provide follow-up support and respond to questions during plan execution
• Collaborate with team members and internal partners to ensure coordination across operations
• Assist with coverage responsibilities during team member absences as needed

Qualifications:
