Job Title: Conventional Optical Polisher

Location: Sarasota, FL (On-site)

Job Type: Fulltime

We are seeking an experienced Conventional Optical Polisher to join a high-precision manufacturing environment producing optical components for aerospace, defense, and advanced applications.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong expertise in manual optical polishing processes and the ability to achieve high-quality surface finishes on precision components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform optical grinding, lapping, and polishing of precision components

• Execute pitch polishing and fine polishing techniques

• Control surface quality, including flatness, parallelism, and surface finish

• Work with fragile materials and maintain strict quality standards

• Ensure consistency and process control in a production environment

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of hands-on experience in conventional optical polishing

• Experience with manual/pitch polishing (not limited to machine operation)

• Strong understanding of optical tolerances and surface quality

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Satisloh, OptiPro, Lapmaster / Peter Wolters equipment

• Familiarity with optical metrology tools such as Zygo interferometers

• Background in aerospace, defense, or semiconductor manufacturing

This role is best suited for a skilled, hands-on professional with direct experience in optical polishing and precision manufacturing.
