About the Role:
As Senior Accountant, you will own key elements of the monthly close, consolidations, and financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP across multiple entities. You will serve as a subject matter expert for intercompany and foreign currency accounting, partnering closely with finance, operations, and leadership teams. Your work will enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of financial information used across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with US GAAP.
- Lead intercompany accounting processes, including eliminations, reconciliations, and issue resolution across entities.
- Perform foreign currency (FX) accounting, including revaluations, translations, and related analyses.
- Maintain and improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation to support audit and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, resolve discrepancies, and support business initiatives.
- Utilise ERP and reporting systems to produce accurate, timely financial reports and analytics for management.
- Support special projects such as system enhancements, process automation, and integration of new entities.
Key Requirements:
- 4 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Hands-on experience with consolidations and preparation of financial statements.
- Proven experience with intercompany accounting in a multi-entity structure.
- Strong working knowledge of foreign currency (FX) accounting.
- In-depth understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting concepts.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in a multi-entity or multinational organisation.
- Prior involvement in system implementations, upgrades, or process improvement projects.
- Familiarity with advanced reporting tools or business intelligence platforms.
- Exposure to SEC reporting or public company environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Active CPA license required.
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
- Additional certifications in accounting systems or financial reporting tools are a plus.
