About the Role:
As Accounting Manager, you will oversee the general ledger, month-end close, and core accounting processes to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. You will lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, manage budgeting and forecasting cycles, and provide insight into cost and variance trends. Working closely with finance and operational leaders, you will drive process improvements, maintain GAAP compliance, and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the general ledger and month-end close process, ensuring all journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, consolidating inputs and preparing financial projections and analysis for management review.
- Monitor and analyse cost accounting data and variances, providing clear explanations and recommendations to operational and finance leaders.
- Review and interpret financial results, preparing management reports and dashboards that highlight key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Serve as a key user and point of contact for the ERP and accounting systems, driving system optimisation and process automation.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation and addressing audit queries in a timely manner.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in an accounting leadership or senior accounting role with responsibility for general ledger and month-end close management.
- Strong track record in financial reporting and analysis, including preparation and review of financial statements under US GAAP.
- Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to support planning and performance management.
- Demonstrated expertise in cost accounting and variance analysis within a product- or manufacturing-oriented environment.
- Advanced proficiency with ERP and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and strong Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of internal controls, accounting policies, and technical accounting concepts.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data, communicate insights clearly, and partner effectively with non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience leading or mentoring accounting staff and coordinating team workflows.

Qualifications:
