Senior Accountant Financial Reporting

Addison Group is partnering with a rapidly growing, publicly traded global leader to identify a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant.

This is a highly visible role focused on SEC reporting, equity-based compensation, and technical accounting research.

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 1–2 days in office)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and 8-Ks
• Prepare financial statement tie-outs, footnotes, and supporting schedules
• Support equity-based compensation accounting, dividends, and related journal entries
• Research technical accounting guidance and evaluate disclosure impacts
• Prepare GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists to ensure compliance
• Assist with quarterly EPS calculations and external audit support
• Help maintain SEC reporting controls, policies, and procedures
• Identify process improvements and support special projects as need

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA required
• 3–4 years of public accounting and/or SEC reporting experience
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools such as Workiva is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills

• Base salary: $100K–$110K 10% annual bonus
