Position Overview
The Accounting Manager oversees financial reporting, directs the close process, and strengthens day-to-day accounting operations. This leader works closely with senior finance partners, supports audits, and contributes to ongoing improvements in workflow and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly and quarterly close activities and review financial statements for accuracy
- Manage a team of accountants, providing coaching, training, and performance guidance
- Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements that enhance consistency and efficiency
- Support audit preparation and respond to leadership requests for financial insights
- Assist with new tools, process changes, and other initiatives that improve accounting operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–7 years of accounting or reporting experience, including team leadership
- Strong spreadsheet skills and comfort working with financial systems
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- CPA preferred but not required
