The Early Childhood Education and Care Department was established on July 1, 2020. The Department's aim is to create a more cohesive, equitable, and effective early childhood system in New Mexico. That means coordinating a continuum of programs from prenatal to five¿and ensuring that families in every corner of the state can access the services they need.

The Business Operations Analyst position exists to ensure the seamless functioning of the Family Support Early Intervention Division by managing critical financial tasks. This role is crucial in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring compliance with the state procurement code and other applicable state and federal regulations.
How does it get done?
This position shall review, analyze, report, and internally reconcile financial activities for the Family Support and Early Intervention Division including, but not limited to, Contracts, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Grants, and Trust Funds to ensure efficient and compliant execution of all related functions. This includes various queries from SHARE, critically assesses the activities posted, and prepares documentation for corrections as needed. The position is also tasked with providing documentation and assistance for audit requests, as needed. The position shall conduct business in full compliance with the New Mexico State Procurement Code, state and federal regulations, and internal agency policies.

Minimum Qualification
High School diploma or Equivalency and two (2) years of experience in office administration, budgeting, purchasing, finance, accounting, auditing, cash management, contract management, and/or the procedures of business and management principles involved in strategic planning. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending, and reaching may be required. Direct client interaction and some travel may be required. The position is located in Santa Fe, NM with standard working hours.
