Hiring: Staff Accountant – Strategic Services Team
We’re seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Strategic Services team. This is a critical role that reports directly to the VP of Finance and is ideal for someone who brings a wide range of accounting experience and wants to contribute to a fast-growing organization. You’ll have the opportunity to showcase your capabilities and play a key part in managing ongoing growth.
Key Responsibilities
Preventative Maintenance Contract Accounting
- Review and validate new customers and sites to ensure proper setup; communicate contract details that impact internal processes
- Track cancellations and complete necessary adjustments to reconcile invoicing vs. revenue/cost recognition
- Review weekly contract adjustment reports
- Review monthly reports for expired sites; collaborate with account managers to confirm contract status
- Execute monthly revenue recognition processes
General Accounting & Support
- Maintain customer rebate programs, including monthly accrual calculations and customer reporting
- Oversee monthly expense tracking and credit card activity allocations for all employees with company credit cards
- Review and post vendor invoices as needed
- Prepare monthly general journal entries
- Maintain strong customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, routing issues appropriately, and responding to special requests
- Escalate customer or vendor complaints promptly to leadership and communicate resolutions when appropriate
- Collaborate with the VP of Finance and team members on various accounting tasks
- Support special projects as assigned (which may evolve into ongoing responsibilities)
