The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, managing the month-end close process, and maintaining strict controls over highly sensitive financial data. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements while supporting leadership with accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Payroll Management
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain payroll records, tax filings, and employee data with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee information, compensation changes, and benefits deductions.
- Resolve payroll-related questions, discrepancies, and audits.
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and variance analyses.
- Prepare and review financial statements and internal management reports.
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting records in accordance with GAAP.
- Support external audits and work closely with auditors to provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including payroll oversight.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and payroll regulations.
- Experience with accounting and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks).
- Exceptional attention to detail, confidentiality, and data integrity.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience managing or supervising accounting staff is a plus.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
