Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC, offering flexibility for remote work following the successful completion of in-office training, at the manager’s discretion.
In this position, the Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting core accounting functions across multiple healthcare entities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, payroll processing, preparation of journal entries, accounts payable, and account reconciliations.

Essential Responsibilities:
· Prepare payroll for clients, including HSA and 401k contributions
· Reconcile monthly bank accounts
· Prepare journal entries for daily bank transactions
· Process vendor invoices and prepare payments using several platforms
· Maintain relationships with vendors and work with vendors to resolve any discrepancies
· Prepare journal entries as requested for cash transfers
· Assist with tracking certain accounts receivables
· Scan invoices and other documents into electronic management system
· Prepare monthly or quarterly sales tax reports
· Prepare annual property tax returns
· Maintain spreadsheets to track various items as requested
· Assist with gathering information for tax preparers or auditors
· Request Forms W-9 for new vendors
· Prepare monthly client invoices
· Special projects as assigned
Qualifications
· Associate’s Degree in Accounting or relevant field
· 5 years of accounts payable and general accounting experience required
· Thorough knowledge, understanding, and application of GAAP principles
· Experience with posting journal entries and creating financial statements
· Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/quarter-end/year-end close processes
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
· Experience with QuickBooks and Certify or similar platforms
Preferred Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Healthcare practice experience
