Skills & Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
- Comfortable responding in high-energy, bustling environments, maintaining composure and professionalism
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to frequent interruptions and shifting priorities
- Physical ability to meet the role’s demands, including lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and periods of standing
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care, first aid, and emergency interventions to students and staff
- Maintain accurate, timely health records and documentation in accordance with school guidelines and state regulations
- Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and other school professionals to support individualized student care plans
- Promote health education and preventive care across classrooms
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments with precision and confidentiality
- Respond promptly to illness, injury, and emerging student health needs throughout the busy school day
