Occupational Therapist School Setting in Kansas City, KS

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Serving five elementary campuses, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to deliver impactful therapy in an educational setting, ensuring each child’s unique needs are addressed.

Here’s What We’re Looking For

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience working within a school setting, particularly with elementary-aged students, is strongly preferred
• Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse caseload across multiple campuses
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Collaborative mindset for partnering with teachers, staff, and parents
• Adaptable, resourceful, and ready to address evolving student needs
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and consultative OT services to students in accordance with IEPs and district guidelines
• Assess, plan, and implement interventions to promote student participation and academic success
• Travel between five elementary school sites, supporting students in a variety of environments
• Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to integrate OT strategies into classroom routines
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in meetings as required
• Contribute to the development of a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
  
  

This contract position runs from August 2026 through May 2027.
