ACCOUNTING MANAGER - IFRS & FINANCIAL REPORTING
Location: Boston, MA (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $91.24 per hour
Employment Type: Contract
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support critical financial reporting, month-end close activities, and accounting operations within a fast-paced corporate environment. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong Record-to-Report experience, financial reporting expertise, and a solid understanding of IFRS and ERP systems.
The successful candidate will partner closely with finance leadership, business stakeholders, and project teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, support key accounting initiatives, and contribute to ongoing system and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities in accordance with IFRS and corporate accounting standards.
• Prepare and review month-end close deliverables, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Support the preparation and submission of financial reporting packages.
• Conduct detailed balance sheet reviews and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Partner with finance and business leaders to document key accounting estimates and judgments.
• Assist with accounting integration activities and ERP-related initiatives.
• Support process improvement efforts to enhance reporting efficiency and controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong Record-to-Report accounting experience.
• Extensive month-end close experience.
• Experience preparing and posting journal entries.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
• CPA or CA certification preferred.
• Experience within Big 4 public accounting environments.
• Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences industry experience.
• IFRS reporting expertise.
• Experience supporting Oracle ERP implementations or integrations.
• Familiarity with Shared Services or Global Business Services (GBS) environments.
