I am hiring for a Talent Services (Human Resources) Manager to lead HR operations in its Boston office. This is a highly visible, strategic leadership role partnering closely with executive and office leadership. The Talent Services Manager will work with senior leadership to drive talent strategy, professional development, recruiting, retention, and overall employee engagement. This individual will play a critical role in shaping office culture, advising on complex employee relations matters, and ensuring operational excellence across all HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead staff recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives
• Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation
• Oversee associate and staff evaluation processes, development planning, and training programs
• Partner on compensation planning, salary recommendations, and bonus administration
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and firm policies
• Maintain accurate and compliant HR documentation and personnel records
• Contribute to workforce planning, succession planning, and long-term talent strategy
• Supervise legal support staff and promote efficient, high-quality workflow
• Drive continuous improvement of HR processes and support change management initiatives
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required; HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a law firm or professional services organization
• Prior management and supervisory experience
• Strong background in employee relations, performance management, recruiting, and compensation
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
• Experience with HRIS/ATS systems (Workday preferred)
• Executive presence, sound judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Salary : $150,000 - $170,000
