Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and experienced individual to fill the role of Human Resources Manager at Vivtex Corporation, in Boston, MA, US. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for building the processes, systems, and frameworks needed to support our growing team across both our U.S. and Switzerland locations. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both strategic planning and day-to-day execution.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Operations & Compliance: Manage HR policies, employee documentation, compliance with U.S. and Swiss employment regulations, and coordination with legal partners.
- Talent Acquisition: Oversee recruiting processes, support hiring managers, and help maintain a strong candidate experience for scientific and corporate roles.
- Onboarding & Employee Experience: Ensure smooth onboarding, employee engagement initiatives, and ongoing support for a positive, mission-driven culture.
- Performance & Development: Administer performance review processes, support goal-setting frameworks, and assist managers with employee development.
- Compensation & Benefits: Manage benefits programs, support compensation discussions, and maintain accurate HR data and records.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted resource for employees, assist with conflict resolutions, and promote a healthy, productive workplace.
- Background Checks & HR Processes: Coordinate background checks and maintain consistent, compliant HR workflows across U.S. and Swiss sites.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2–3 years in a startup or small-company environment is preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of HR practices within fast-paced, science-driven environments; familiarity with employment regulations in the U.S. (and ideally Switzerland) and awareness of considerations in biotech or other regulated industries.
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strategic Mindset: Able to align HR initiatives with company goals, anticipate organizational needs, and provide guidance on workforce planning and people strategy.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with HRIS/ATS platforms, HR reporting, and standard HR tools; comfortable using digital systems to streamline HR operations and maintain accurate employee data.
