Payroll Administrator

We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join our team in Perrysburg, Ohio. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic construction and contracting environment. The ideal candidate will manage payroll operations efficiently while maintaining compliance with union and non-union requirements.

Responsibilities:

Assist Controller as needed with any accounting functions.

• Process weekly payroll for two companies, ensuring timely payments for both union and non-union employees.

• Set up new employees and unions in Software, ensuring accurate data entry.

• Input and synchronize daily timesheets, including mobile timesheets, and address discrepancies with project managers.

• Review per diem entries and verify payroll data before posting, including dates, hours, rates, and employee names.

• Handle direct deposit submissions to the bank and issue paper checks as needed.

• Calculate and remit weekly payroll taxes, including federal, state, and city obligations.

• Maintain and update employee and union records within Foundation Software as necessary.

• Assist in preparing and filing quarterly and annual payroll taxes, W-2s, and certified payroll reports.

• Process monthly union reports and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.

• Organize and file weekly timesheet records for future reference.

• Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing, including multi-state payroll.
• Familiarity with payroll systems such as Foundation Software or ADP Workforce Now.
• Ability to manage payroll for organizations with 101-500 employees.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and review.
• Knowledge of union and non-union payroll procedures and reporting.
• Expertise in calculating payroll taxes and preparing tax filings.
• Strong organizational skills to manage records and reporting deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with project managers and resolving timesheet issues.
