Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Edwardsville, Kansas. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing customer accounts, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting overall cash flow processes. This role requires someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, including check processing and cash activity reconciliation.
• Review and analyze financial discrepancies, ensuring accuracy in customer accounts and compliance with standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with the team to resolve disputes and maintain up-to-date customer account information.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and SAP R/3 to track, analyze, and report on accounts receivable data.
• Assist in the collection process by following up with customers to ensure timely payments and resolve outstanding balances.
• Support the implementation and adherence to office procedures and compliance standards.
• Conduct research and analysis to identify and address discrepancies in financial records.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and maintaining positive client relationships.
• Create and maintain templates and financial notes for efficient documentation and reporting.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Proven experience in accounts receivable or a related financial role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with SAP R/3 or similar financial software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle discrepancies and disputes.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong communication and customer service skills for building and maintaining client relationships.
• Knowledge of standard operating procedures and compliance requirements in financial operations.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy and reliability in financial records.
