Tax Staff - Public

We are looking for a dedicated Tax Staff member to join a boutique accounting firm in Hutchinson, Minnesota. This role is ideal for individuals ranging from recent graduates with internship experience to experienced candidates aiming to progress into leadership positions. Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review individual, S-Corp, and partnership tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Utilize tax software such as CCH ProSystem to efficiently manage tax preparation and filing processes.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Conduct thorough research on tax laws and provide guidance to clients on complex tax matters.
• Assist in tax planning strategies to optimize financial outcomes for clients.
• Support senior team members in managing client portfolios and delivering exceptional service.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax codes and industry standards to ensure compliance.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements within the firm.
• Work towards obtaining relevant certifications, such as CPA or EA, to enhance expertise.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting.
• Proficiency with tax software, particularly CCH ProSystem, is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of individual, S-Corp, and partnership tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication abilities for interacting with clients and team members.
• CPA or EA certification is preferred, or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
