RETS Associates is representing Claremont McKenna College in the search for a Senior Project Manager to get hands-on with a broad portfolio of campus renovation, deferred maintenance, and capital renewal projects at one of the nation's most prestigious liberal arts colleges.
This is a role for someone who thrives in the field as much as at their desk — managing projects end-to-end, from scoping and budgeting through permitting, construction, and final closeout. You'll manage multiple projects and be the go-to point of contact for contractors, consultants, architects, and campus stakeholders alike.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of campus renovation and capital renewal projects
- Direct project budgets, schedules, contracts, and contractor performance from start to finish
- Coordinate permitting and inspections with city, county, and state agencies
- Prepare RFPs, bid documents, and contract award recommendations
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, compliance, and on-schedule delivery
- Serve as the day-to-day liaison between the College, vendors, architects, and outside agencies
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field
- 5 years of hands-on construction and project management experience
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and trades simultaneously
- Experience in higher education or institutional facilities strongly preferred
- Detail-oriented, organized, and a strong communicator at every level of a project team
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
