CT Technologist - Local Accepted

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled CT Technologist to join our healthcare team as a Local Accepted provider. In this vital role, you will operate advanced computed tomography (CT) imaging equipment to produce detailed cross-sectional images of patients’ bodies, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Your expertise in radiologic imaging, radiation safety procedures, and patient care will ensure the delivery of exceptional diagnostic services within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary teams in urgent care, emergency room settings, and trauma centers, providing critical imaging support for diverse medical cases.

Duties

• Operate CT scanners and other radiologic imaging equipment with precision, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam.
• Implement radiation safety protocols diligently to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure during all imaging procedures.
• Assist with advanced imaging modalities such as PET scans, fluoroscopy, mammography, DEXA scans, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiography procedures.
• Collaborate with emergency medicine teams and participate in urgent care scenarios, including Level I and Level II trauma center cases requiring rapid diagnostics.
• Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, patient information, and equipment calibration records in compliance with hospital policies.
• Ensure all medical equipment is operated safely and maintained properly; troubleshoot technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Uphold aseptic techniques during invasive procedures and adhere to all healthcare regulations related to radiation safety and patient privacy.
• Support diagnostic radiology efforts by applying knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and radiologic principles to optimize image quality.
• Participate in ongoing training on new imaging technologies such as interventional radiology techniques or nuclear medicine advancements.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent), with valid state licensure if applicable.
• Proven experience operating CT scanners within urgent care settings or emergency rooms; trauma center experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical imaging modalities including CT, PET scan, mammography, DEXA scan, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiography.
• Familiarity with radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation protection protocols during all imaging procedures.
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately in high-pressure situations.
• Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation processes.
• Experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers or emergency medicine environments is a significant advantage.
• Ability to operate complex medical imaging equipment efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.
