What are the responsibilities and job description for the Territory Sales Manager – Automotive Aftermarket (Batteries) position at Purple Hires Inc.?
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the Michigan territory and drive growth in aftermarket battery sales
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with distributors, resellers, and automotive clients
- Generate new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with existing customers
- Sell a range of battery products including lead-acid, AGM, and lithium
- Work closely with channel partners such as NAPA, FMP, and similar distribution networks
- Maintain and update sales pipeline, forecasts, and activities in CRM tools
- Travel within the region for client interactions, site visits, and industry events
- Analyze market trends to uncover new opportunities and support business growth
- Minimum 2 years of B2B sales experience in automotive aftermarket or related fields
- Experience working with distributor or reseller-based sales models
- Background in battery products or similar technical offerings is a plus
- Ability to clearly explain previous sales experience, channels, and customer types
- Strong track record of managing a territory and successfully closing deals
- Comfortable working in a hybrid setup with regular local travel requirements
