Seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a dynamic K-12 educational setting in Minneapolis, MN. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and offers the opportunity to support students communication development under the guidance of a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering speech and language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Implement therapy plans and activities designed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student needs.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLPA certification or licensure meeting state requirements for Minnesota.
- Experience working within K-12 educational environments preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow therapy plans accurately and provide feedback to supervising clinicians.
- Demonstrated patience and dedication to helping children improve their communication skills.
