This contract opportunity is for a School Psychologist to provide specialized support within a K-12 educational setting in Portland, OR. Serving students across elementary, middle, and high school levels, the role focuses on conducting comprehensive evaluations and developing Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP). The position is part-time (20 hours per week) with a contract spanning the 25-26 school year, working primarily on-site with some flexibility for hybrid arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education services
- Develop and implement Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to support student success and well-being
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation aligned with Oregon state regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Possession of a valid TSPC license as a School Psychologist
- Strong understanding of Oregon special education laws and eligibility criteria
- Highly organized with excellent communication and assessment skills
- Experience working with students in rural community settings preferred
- Comfortable performing in-person assessments; hybrid remote work options available for non-assessment tasks
Schedule and Location:
- 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Primarily onsite within a welcoming and supportive school community in the Portland area
