Optomi, in partnership with a privately owned U.S. food and agricultural company, is seeking an ERP Technical Solutions Manager to join their team in Salisbury, MD.
Job Must Haves:
- 8 years of ERP experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- SAP Basis knowledge (ECC or S4HANA)
- Experience managing people and developing their careers
- Vendor relationship management experience, particularly with SAP
- Ability to handle technical aspects (20-30%) and coordinate effectively
- Familiarity with SQL databases
- Willingness to roll up sleeves and handle business requests
Job Nice to Haves:
- Experience with SAP S4HANA in a cloud environment (e.g., RISE, GCP, Azure, AWS)
- Background in SAP Basis with progression to management
- Knowledge of SAP RISE platform
About the Position / Current Initiatives: This is a manager position for ERP infrastructure, replacing a retiring employee. The team supports two SAP environments: SAP S4460 (order-to-cash, marketing, trade promotion management) and SAP S4HANA (RISE cloud environment). Over the next two years, the SAP S4460 environment will be migrated to RISE and sunset. The role involves managing a team of four (two focused on SAP Basis and two on SQL databases) and ensuring on-premises infrastructure continues to function effectively while forging strong vendor relationships with SAP.
