Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Optomi, in partnership with a leading enterprise organization, is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of enterprise-scale hybrid cloud environments. This role blends cloud engineering, infrastructure operations, and service delivery, with a focus on building resilient, scalable solutions and driving continuous improvement across mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate brings strong experience across cloud platforms, infrastructure technologies, and enterprise operations, with the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on.

Experience of the Right Candidate:
- 7 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud engineering, or systems operations.
- Strong background supporting large-scale, mission-critical environments.
- Experience with AWS cloud platform and hybrid infrastructure models.
- Proficiency with Windows, Linux/Unix, and virtualization technologies (VMware/ESX).
- Experience with converged or hyper-converged infrastructure environments.
- Understanding of cloud-native services (databases, storage, networking).
- Knowledge of monitoring, performance management, and capacity planning.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:
- Design, build, and support hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Lead efforts around system performance, capacity planning, and availability (99.99% uptime goals).
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex infrastructure and cloud-related issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across cloud operations and service delivery.
- Collaborate with engineering and application teams on deployments, migrations (P2V), and integrations.
- Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and reporting solutions.
- Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation.
- Support lifecycle management, including upgrades, patching, and system optimization.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to operational teams.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and service restoration efforts.
- Partner with vendors and service providers to ensure service delivery and performance standards.
