The O’Brien Auto Team is looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our office team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will set the tone for a positive customer experience while supporting the daily administrative operations of a fast-paced automotive dealership. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Receptionist is responsible for welcoming customers, managing front-desk operations, and providing administrative support to the dealership. This role ensures that all interactions are handled professionally, accurately, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet, welcome, and direct customers in a warm and professional manner.
- Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls while providing basic information as needed.
- Maintain dealership security by following established procedures.
- Perform a variety of clerical and receptionist duties to support office operations.
- Listen attentively to customers and assist in meeting their needs.
- Follow all federal, state, and local regulations related to new and used vehicle sales and finance departments.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Office Manager.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, including the NADA Code of Ethics and the O’Brien Auto Team Code of Conduct.
Education & Work Experience Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and team members.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, and perform well under pressure.
- Able to meet deadlines while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work independently and follow standard procedures and instructions.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role preferred; automotive or accounting experience is a plus.
Environmental & Physical Requirements
- Work performed in an office environment with generally stable conditions, though occasional temperature changes may occur.
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and all applicable standards.
- Must maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Position requires sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, bending, stooping, reaching, and repetitive hand movements (such as typing).
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Must be able to speak clearly and communicate effectively by phone.
