Overview
NOW CFO is assisting a client with identifying a full-time, direct-hire Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join their team on a permanent basis. The HRBP will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, supporting people strategy, performance, and workplace culture. This role partners closely with leaders to align HR initiatives with business goals while driving employee engagement, development, and organizational effectiveness.
Local San Diego candidates will be considered.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner with leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that support business objectives
- Advise on workforce planning, organizational structure, and succession planning
- Manage employee relations matters, including coaching, investigations, and performance-related issues
- Support performance management processes and employee development initiatives
- Collaborate with recruiting teams to support hiring, onboarding, and talent planning
- Analyze HR data and trends to inform decision-making and improve HR programs
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and best practices
- Support change management initiatives during periods of growth or transformation
- Serve as a resource to managers and employees on HR-related questions and concerns
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or HR business partner capacity
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence leaders at all levels
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office tools
Nice to Have
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR
- Experience supporting multi-site or matrixed organizations
- Background in organizational development, change management, or people strategy
