Key priorities for this role include:
- Improving communication practices to ensure employees and leadership teams remain aligned and informed
- Strengthening HR documentation processes related to promotions, tenure milestones, and compensation planning
- Establishing clear points of contact for employees and manager support
- Creating and implementing streamlined HR processes while updating HR policies and employee handbook materials

- Pay: $180,000–$200,000 DOE

- Position will have 2 direct reports (both within the HR Team)
Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee the full employment lifecycle for all open positions, including recruiting strategies and hiring best practices that support a diverse and inclusive workforce
- Review and update employee handbook, HR policies, procedures, and forms
- Manage and participate in employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Lead annual performance management and compensation review processes, including salary benchmarking and market analysis
- Oversee employee benefits programs, annual renewals, and benefits strategy to ensure competitive offerings while maintaining fiscal responsibility
- Administer retirement savings programs, including employee education, compliance monitoring, reporting, and audit support
- Research HR best practices and provide guidance to senior leadership on employment-related matters
- Manage employee relations and develop training programs that support a respectful, safe, and productive workplace
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintain employment-related data and oversee HRIS platforms, including ADP and benefits administration systems
- Prepare and manage HR reporting, audits, and benefits reconciliations
- Oversee workers' compensation administration, claims management, and safety program initiatives
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- 15 years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred but not required)
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, benefits administration, employee relations, and HR best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, manage sensitive situations, and maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and drive projects to completion
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms, including ADP Workforce Now
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an academic, educational, or nonprofit environment
- SHRM certification
- Advanced experience with ADP Workforce Now
Salary : $180,000 - $200,000
