Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in PR, communications, or a related role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater) and PR software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Local Tampa Bay media contacts are a plus
- Assist in developing and executing PR strategies and campaigns
- Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other PR materials
- Maintain and update media contact lists and databases
- Monitor media coverage and compile performance reports
- Coordinate interviews, press events, and media briefings
- Support crisis communication efforts as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure message consistency
- Track PR calendars, deadlines, and deliverables
- Research media trends, journalist interests, and competitor activity
