DBA III (5166)

NextPath Career Partners is currently seeking a Database Administrator III to join our client’s team in Tampa, Florida. This is a hybrid (remote/onsite) contract-to-hire position.

SALARY: $118,000 (depending on experience)

Requirements

• 7 years of experience in database administration or data engineering
• 5 years of experience in database administration or data engineering roles
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including architecture, optimization, and security
• Proficiency in SQL development, query optimization, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP (Azure preferred)
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting scalable data warehouse solutions
• Knowledge of data integration tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Matillion, Fivetran)
• Strong understanding of data modeling and database design
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills within global teams
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Snowflake data warehouse solutions to support analytics and enterprise applications
• Optimize data pipelines, schemas, and system performance within Snowflake and supporting environments
• Build and sustain high-availability, high-performance database systems in cloud/hybrid setups
• Develop and support ETL/ELT processes using tools such as dbt, Azure Data Factory, or Matillion
• Monitor and manage storage, compute resources, and database performance
• Enforce data security, privacy, and integrity policies, ensuring compliance through testing and audits
• Troubleshoot data management issues proactively and reactively
• Collaborate with data engineers and developers to deploy, optimize, and catalogue SQL code and stored procedures
• Support database migrations and integration projects involving legacy and new systems
