What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Site Supervisor position at Nelson Construction & Renovations?
Looking for competent and organized Site Supervisor to run luxury residential projects.
Our Site Supervisors are fully responsible for each job site assigned, whether it's a remodel, home addition or new-build. Oversees all our sub-contractors and tradespeople to ensure high-quality work, excellent customer service, job-site cleanliness, and keeping things on schedule. Daily duties include: opening job site, logging materials arrived / subcontractors arrived, ensuring subcontractors understand scope and plans, ensuring subcontractors execute work per scope and plans, generating RFIs for engineer or architect to clarify plans and specifications before it creates a problem, chasing up RFIs, ensuring materials ordered and delivered before needed, getting bids from subcontractors, ensuring subcontractors signed up and scheduled for maximum efficiency, ensuring subcontractor shows up and performs per contract, daily photos & videos taken for daily logs, daily logs posted for each project, updating schedules, job site safety, job site cleanliness, job site general security and securing job site at the end of the day.
Other duties include: meetings, responding to client and documenting client interactions, keeping team up-to-date on progress and what is needed, ensuring project on schedule, ensuring project within budget, assisting the Project Manager and doing everything to be the main hub and control point for the project.
- Must have construction experience and supervisory experience
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
- Must have smart phone to use Buildertrend app (we will train on app if needed)
- Must have reliable transportation (preferably truck)
- Must have basic computer experience (Office, emails, etc)
- Must be able to make project schedule (CPM) and keep project on schedule
- Must be familiar with OSHA safety standards and able to enforce them (preferably OSHA 30 certified)
- Must be able to run several large crews at the same time
- Must have basic knowledge of trades and general construction work
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills to keep the team and the client informed about what is happening on the project
This is a full time position. Salary depends on experience. We offer 8 paid holidays with personal PTO increases with time, as well as dental and vision benefits after probationary period. TENTATIVE STARTING DATE WOULD BE JANUARY 2026.
