Electrical Estimator
Kansas City, MO | $80K–$100K Benefits
A well-established commercial electrical contractor in the Kansas City area is looking to add an Electrical Estimator to its preconstruction team.
This is a strong fit for someone with hands-on electrical estimating experience who understands commercial electrical construction, takeoffs, bid preparation, drawings/specs, vendor pricing, and accurate project costing.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial construction projects
• Complete quantity takeoffs from drawings, specs, and bid documents
• Price labor, materials, equipment, and specialty electrical systems
• Solicit and compare supplier and subcontractor quotes
• Review scopes of work, clarifications, assumptions, and bid risks
• Support budgeting, value engineering, and preconstruction pricing
• Maintain estimating data, cost history, and bid documentation
• Partner with project managers for clean project handoff after award
What We’re Looking For
• 2 years of electrical estimating experience
• Commercial electrical construction background strongly preferred
• Experience with an electrical contractor or electrical subcontractor preferred
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
• Knowledge of electrical systems, materials, labor, and installation methods
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Trimble Accubid / Accubid experience preferred
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
