Business Development Associate
Mount Laurel, NJ | $50,000–$60,000 base uncapped commission
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full-time | Hybrid (Onsite during training)
This is an entry-level Business Development role with a growing financial services organization focused on providing small business loans, working capital, and equipment financing nationwide. This position supports Senior Business Development Managers by prospecting new partners, qualifying opportunities, and building a strong outbound sales pipeline. Ideal for early-career sales professionals looking to grow within financial services and commercial lending.
What You’ll Be DoingProspect and qualify new dealer and partner relationships nationwide
Conduct outbound outreach to small businesses and equipment sellers
Funnel qualified opportunities to Senior Business Development Managers
Educate prospects and partners on financing products and capabilities
Manage leads from initial contact through onboarding
Support partner onboarding and basic training to drive adoption
Maintain consistent follow-up and relationship management
Track pipeline activity, sales metrics, and outreach efforts
Collaborate with underwriting, credit, and funding teams to move deals forward
1–5 years of sales, business development, or outbound prospecting experience
Financial services, fintech, lending, or small business sales background strongly preferred
Comfortable with cold outreach, rejection, and high-activity sales environments
Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
Motivated, coachable, and eager to grow into a long-term sales career
Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
