Job Description
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards; follow the site safety culture and wear PPE when required
- Serve as the "Voice of the Customer" by reviewing concerns, questions, and nonconforming material
- Analyze failures and perform root cause analysis and corrective action for process-related concerns and/or customer complaints
- Review, analyze, and determine corrective actions for internal nonconforming material
- Support continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system and tools
- Work with manufacturing and engineering personnel in support of quality initiatives
- Interface with engineering and operations to support successful new product launches
- Support Quality Inspectors to ensure products and processes comply with quality system and customer requirements
- Continuously improve first-piece, in-process, and final inspection processes and procedures
- Assist with the submittal of First Article Inspection Reports
- Follow 6S procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
The Successful Applicant
- Associate degree or higher in a related field
- Quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Basic understanding of inspection methods, techniques, and equipment
- Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 Quality Management Systems
- Experience with common machine shop gaging and inspection techniques
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading and 6S
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage projects and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to identify areas for improvement and think strategically to enhance efficiency
- Ability to identify root causes and determine corrective actions
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
