About the Role
We are seeking a meticulous Quality Assurance Specialist to bolster our Quality Department. In this role, you will be instrumental in upholding our quality standards through data collection, meticulous auditing, and precise dimensional layouts. Your expertise will ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough line and dock audits to verify adherence to product and process standards.
- Perform precise measurements and dimensional layouts to support PPAP, SPC analysis, and FAIR activities, contributing to ongoing enhancements.
- Maintain accurate and timely quality records in accordance with Quality System requirements.
- Serve as a proactive inspector on the production floor, identifying non-conformances using established criteria to maintain product integrity.
- Gather and analyze data from quality control processes, materials, and procedures to drive informed decisions.
- Support the processing of Material Change Requests (MCR) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN) to ensure seamless transitions.
- Oversee PPAP, FAIR, and ISIR processes, while also providing support for APQP to ensure product excellence.
- Update and maintain the IMDS to guarantee ongoing international regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Familiarity with GD&T.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in quality control or manufacturing settings.
- Familiarity with quality standards and tools like PPAP, SPC, FAIR, MCR, and ECN.
- Proficiency in using quality control tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
