About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Printing Press Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining flexographic printing presses, ensuring high-quality output, and adhering to safety and quality standards. Your expertise in color matching, material handling, and troubleshooting will be essential to meeting production goals.
Responsibilities- Operate flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials.
- Verify print design accuracy by comparing it to job jacket specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of print samples for quality control purposes.
- Proactively identify and report any non-conformities to the Supervisor, Lead Person, or Quality Assurance Technician.
- Package and label work-in-progress and finished products according to established procedures.
- Confirm that all raw materials have been approved for use before commencing production.
- Ensure that all benchtop testing and measuring equipment is properly calibrated before use.
- Adhere to all food safety instructions and the SQF Food Safety Management System, including Employee GMPs.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve printing issues.
- Proficiency in shop math skills.
- Understanding of food safety and quality assurance principles.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience operating similar printing equipment.
- Familiarity with AS9100 standards.
- Experience with web offset printing.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, and Outlook.
