Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of comprehensive safety and environmental programs.
- Conduct routine inspections of the workplace to proactively identify potential hazards.
- Identify and mitigate safety concerns to foster a safer environment for all.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Deliver engaging training sessions to educate employees on essential safety practices.
- Investigate incidents thoroughly and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Maintain accurate and current safety records for compliance and analysis.
- Collaborate with workers' compensation and safety partners to ensure employee well-being.
- Ensure the company adheres to all relevant safety regulations and ISO standards.
Essential Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with ISO standards such as ISO 14001 or ISO 45001.
- Fundamental understanding of safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to effectively engage and collaborate with a diverse workforce.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of ISO certifications, such as ISO 14001 or ISO 45001.
- A degree in safety, health, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience managing safety across multiple locations.
- Demonstrated experience in leading safety training programs or inspections.
Working Conditions
- Work is primarily conducted in a manufacturing environment, often on the shop floor.
- Occasional travel to nearby facilities may be required.
