We're seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our client's team in Greenwood, IN. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a brake press to accurately form parts according to blueprint specifications and work instructions.
About the Role
Interpret blueprints and work operation sheets to understand the required tasks.
Execute forming tasks, including offsets, large radii, and standard bends.
Conduct quality checks on parts using precision instruments like calipers, micrometers, squares, and height gauges, reporting any dimensional discrepancies to the appropriate personnel; ensure high-quality output.
Maintain accurate records of completed and scrapped parts.
Complete all necessary production paperwork and input data into the company database.
Keep tools, instruments, and equipment clean and organized.
Immediately report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor or manager and maintain a clean, safe workspace to ensure a productive environment.

Requirements
High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
At least 1 year of relevant experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment.
Capable of following instructions presented in written, verbal, or diagrammatic formats.
Proficient in mathematical skills, including working with units of measure, fractions, decimals, and whole numbers.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and operation sheets to determine setup and forming processes.
Skilled in setting up and operating a Brake Press machine, as well as inputting and maintaining data in the Traverse Manufacturing System.
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
