About the Role
As a Lead HVAC Field Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the peak performance and reliability of complex climate control systems. You will leverage your technical expertise to diagnose, repair, and optimize heating, ventilation, and air conditioning infrastructure, directly impacting energy efficiency and occupant comfort for our diverse client base.
Responsibilities- Execute comprehensive start-up procedures and diagnostic repairs on commercial HVAC equipment to ensure operational excellence.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting on rooftop packaged units, water source heat pumps, and complex refrigeration systems.
- Deliver high-quality service solutions that minimize downtime and extend the lifecycle of critical building infrastructure.
- Maintain clear communication with clients to explain technical issues and provide professional recommendations for system improvements.
- Document all service activities and equipment performance data to support long-term maintenance planning.
- Adhere to rigorous safety standards and best practices while working independently in the field.
Required Skills
- 5 years of professional field experience in commercial HVAC/R systems.
- Universal EPA Type 1 & 2 certification.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex heating and cooling mechanical systems.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must provide own professional-grade hand tools.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with building automation and HVAC control systems.
- Previous background working as a manufacturer representative.
- OSHA 10-hour safety certification.
- Journeyman-level proficiency in HVAC installation and maintenance.
