5-Axis CNC Machinist

As a 5-Axis CNC Machinist, you will play a vital role in producing complex, high-precision components that drive innovation in the medical device industry. You will leverage your expertise in multi-axis machining to independently manage setups, ensure dimensional accuracy, and optimize production workflows for mission-critical parts.

• Execute complete machine setups for Mazak Integrex and Variaxis platforms using technical documentation and process sheets.
• Drive quality outcomes by performing first-article inspections and validating parts against rigorous blueprint specifications.
• Optimize production efficiency by managing tool offsets, monitoring wear, and performing necessary machine adjustments.
• Maintain high-level output by troubleshooting machining processes and resolving technical discrepancies in real-time.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to refine manufacturing methods and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure the integrity of finished components by utilizing advanced precision measurement tools and inspection equipment.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience operating and setting up 5-axis CNC equipment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting complex engineering drawings, including GD&T requirements.
• Expertise in utilizing precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators.
• Proven ability to perform independent machine changeovers and tool management.

Preferred Skills

• Advanced familiarity with Mazatrol control systems and multi-axis programming logic.
• Experience machining diverse materials including titanium, stainless steel, and high-performance plastics.
• Strong background in a high-precision, regulated manufacturing environment.
